Game Rules & Scoring
WPM (Words Per Minute) Your typing speed. The game counts how many words you complete and divides by elapsed time. Higher = faster fingers.
Accuracy Percentage of correct keystrokes vs total keystrokes. Mashing random keys tanks this number fast.
Combo System Every word you complete without errors adds +1 to your combo. Miss a letter? Combo resets to zero. High combos unlock bragging rights.
Score History Your last 10 games are saved automatically. The highest WPM gets a trophy icon so you always know your personal best.
Tips to Type Faster
1. Use all 10 fingers
Hunt-and-peck typing caps your speed around 30-40 WPM. Proper finger placement on the home row (ASDF / JKL;) unlocks 60+ WPM potential.
2. Don’t look at your hands
Your eyes should stay on the screen. Muscle memory develops faster when you’re not peeking at the keyboard.
3. Accuracy first, speed second
Fixing typos kills momentum. Slow down slightly to avoid errors, then gradually push faster as your accuracy stabilizes.
4. Practice problem letters
Everyone has weak spots — maybe it’s “Q” or “Z” for you. Target those letters specifically in longer word modes.
5. Take breaks
Fatigue causes mistakes. Short, focused sessions beat marathon grinding every time.
Why Typing Speed Matters
The average typing speed is around 40 WPM. Professionals often hit 65-75 WPM. Competitive typists break 100+.
Faster typing means:
- Less time on emails and documents
- Better performance in jobs requiring data entry
- Smoother gaming communication
- More productive coding sessions
Even a 10 WPM improvement saves hours over a month of regular computer use.
Beat Your High Score
Your WPM today doesn’t have to be your WPM tomorrow.
